We took a ride traveling west of Kangley on a decent blacktop road. We came across a nice looking cemetery that did not have a name on it. Soon we came to the road that leads south to Eagle Catholic church.
Any info on this cemetery? thanks -Dave

West of Kangley...Lostlands. The road in the cemetery is arched, semi-circle. The priests, including the Polish priest, are buried in the center. Except for the first resident priest of St. Mary's in Streator, he is buried in the first row on the west side. Lostlands is older than St. Mary's Cemetery in Streator, so Father John was buried there. I think there is a nice, large stone with an angel on it on the north west side. The south west corner is rather empty...I think that is where the old church stood. Whalen, Prendergast (Monsignor's family) Comisky are a few of the names. Also, Eagle Township buildings are across the road. That is the only cemetery I can think of until you get to Richland Township. Mackey's and Naramour are to the north of Kangley. www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=106674&CScntry=4&CSst=16&CScnty=739&CSsr=61&

"Lostlands" -Dave I believe Eagle Church used to be adjacent to the cemetery until the church relocated to its present site. At any rate, it's the cemetery for Eagle Church.
