Hey everyone, I can't tell you how good it is to find a group of like minded individuals who care about this little burg of Streator, and want to see it flourish and grow once again. I am a Public Affairs Officer in the Illinois Army National Guard, and I am currently being deployed to Iraq. So, I won't be able to volunteer for any labor or anything like that for the next year, but yesterday I did contact somebody to donate a bunch of lumber for the Spring Lake project, and I have other tools I can donate or lend for use while I'm away. I am a decorative concrete contractor, so I have many concrete working tools, as well as other items that may come in handy. If anything comes up, let me know via this message board and I will see what I can do.
~Again, it is great to have found you, and I know that if we keep at it we can make Streator a dynamic, prosperous place where our children just might want to stay and raise their children.

Thank you Eva, being away from my family is without a doubt the hardest thing about being deployed. Again, I appeciate the well wishes, and people like you give me hope for the city of Streator, and make me look forward to returning, so I can do my part to make it great once again.
