Mine was hidden by all the trees around here. But I was able to follow the old RR tracks ROW to Kangley & Wenona & eventually to Washington. I was able to see Toshiko's backyard deck & pond! -DD

This photo is the 400 & 500 block of North Bloomington Street taken in 1980. How many buildings in this photo are no longer there? I count about 10 different buildings, including the house. And the 2 railroads shown are no longer there also.

The railroad closest to the old St Mary's school was the first one built from Streator by Col. Plumb of course. It connected Streator to the original line of the Illinois Central @wenona. Later it continued to Varna where one branch followed what is now Rt89 to La Rose & all those small farm communities down to & past Metamora where it made a connection with the TP&W to Peoria. Another branch continued straight to the Illinois River @ Lacon. -Dave
