What fun! When we were kids we went to my Grandmother's house for a picnic. Then all of us would go to the parade as a group. The kids all wore some kind of Flag shirts and our Mom's lined us up and took a picture. Wish I had those pictures!!!

If it doesn't rain tomorrow, my wife will lead the parade in our little town.

Whose home is in the background? It looks so peaceful and beautiful.

We met the woman who owns the house, but I don't remember her name. The picture above does not do the house justice. It looks like a small castle, and has an attached greenhouse. Even if we could afford it, I don't like its location. I like being in the woods.

From the pictures, it looks like it is in the woods. Looks like all of our plans are going to be rained out today.

From the pictures, it looks like it is in the woods. Looks like all of our plans are going to be rained out today. Every house in town is in a wooded area, but only a few are actually in the woods. I took a few pictures of that house today.

My favorite childhood memory of the 4th of July is of all of us kids and our mom going out to Long Point to watch their fireworks. My cousins would be out there, too. It was a lot of fun. My favorite adult memory is one year we had a cousins cookout at my house. Afterward all of us girl cousins left the guys, went to the carnival and rode rides until we were literally sick. Then we all slept overnight in my niece & nephews playhouse (which is pretty big). There were 6 adult women sleeping in there. I think we scared my brother in law because he reminded us it was built for the kids and maybe two adults to sleep in. It held up that night and is still standing today, none the worse for wear!
