Great shot! Looks like nine little robotic newsboys all lined-up!
"Getcha paypuh heah!"

This was at the old Siever's Junkyard near the intersection of Route 6 & I-39 by LaSalle.

I complain about Streator drivers, but last summer, I found a street that I feel safe on. Traffic moves real slow in this neighborhood.

Butch,
Since this is "hump day", please tell us where you found these corny camels... NW of Northpoint?

When my wife and I were in Egypt, we took a short camel ride in front of the Great Pyramid. Part of the price of the ride was for a photo of us on the camels with Cheops and the Sphinx in the background. I had the picture on my desk for years. One day, a secretary saw it and asked, "where was that taken?"
I'm glad she was not my secretary.

Butch,
Since this is "hump day", please tell us where you found these corny camels... NW of Northpoint? Correct. These camels were anchored behind the circus tent north of McGrath's.

I found this huge flag hanging on the old Williams Hardware storage building.

I'm glad she was not my secretary. An anonymous secretary sent me a copy of the picture. You call that a "short camel"? My wife would have been happy if the camels had been that small. A girl from the “City,” she has never warmed to four legged creatures. For example, after our first horseback lesson, she refused to continue. The best part of our camel ride was the “dismount.” I had been warned that the camel drivers often refused to let people down without “baksheesh,” an Egyptian term for “give me more money.” I was ready for them, however. When we heard the plea for baksheesh, I did my pseudo-French language ploy. I continually shrugged my shoulders, mimicked the driver’s hand-stretched gestures and babbled away in gibberish which sounded “French.” After a few minutes, we were able to dismount without any baksheesh.

Butch,
We noticed that flag a couple of evenings ago. Several people were gathered there for some sort of event, but don't know what it was.
