Does anyone have any pictures of the Dan Howard Building before the fire, during the fire, and after the fire?

Sorry, I didn't even know Dan had a building, let alone a burnt one.

I saw a picture of this building on the Streator Fire Dept. web site. It was called the Kennedy building.

I was just informed I was wrong. Dan Howard was the old garter factory, and not connected to the Kennedy bldg. They were separated by an alley.

The garter factory was originally owned by John Hoban. How did it come to be known as the Dan Howard Building... a subsequent owner?
Two of my aunts were employed there, but their work just didn't hold-up.

The garter factory was on Broadway near Vermilion St. True. It was on a pretty good size lot, too! DD

The garter factory on the NW corner of Broadway and Vermilion Streets. Notice the old railroad crossing sign where the Burlington RR crossed Broadway Street at an angle. The railroad used to come across the grassy area in front of the factory right on the corner.
