Does anyone have a copy (from an old Slovak member of your family most likely) of a Bible used at Trinity Lutheran Church when they only spoke Slovak? I am looking for a Bible from before about 1940, since the data I've found so far states that prior to 1936 there were no real SLOVAK LUTHERAN (or Protestant) translations of the Bible; that they had to use a CZECH translation instead, made some hundreds of years earlier.
I would very much like a SCAN of either Czech or Slovak Bibles used by Slovak members of the church. My father claimed that he was being taught Slovak in the early 1930's by reading the Bible, but he's either mistaken about what he was reading, or they were actually using Czech to teach him Slovak!
Many scans to choose from would be appreciated. I would ask permission from the owner of the scan before using it on my web site, and would place a note under it as to where it came from.
Oh, I should clearly specify: By "scan," I mean of the title page which shows what it is (title), publishing date, publisher, etc.

Try to contact the church. They may be able to help you. -Dave I emailed quite some time ago. And I've called a number of times too, but only get a machine. I imagine they simply do not have any time to deal with such questions, which is why I was hoping to find an interested party here.
